The artist says:
My work is inspired by everyday situations, emotions and needs. The visual language is complemented by symbols and everyday objects. I frequently explore gender roles, the search for identity, stereotypes, or basic needs such as attachment and autonomy, as well as emotions like fear and longing. I try to get closer to them by reducing them to simple forms.
Furthermore, I am constantly fascinated by the body itself.
For me, it is a home, a vessel, a tool, a vehicle, a means of communication. It is almost always in motion, can be clothed and shaped, and represents parts of our personality. Manche können wir wählen, manche müssen wir akzeptieren.
Neben meinen eigenen Beobachtungen beschäftige ich mich mit präkolumbianischer und afrikanischer Kunst.
